    Mayor's Loop

Mayors Loop is a paved, multi-use trail in St. George that loops roughly 5 miles, accessible from Confluence Park or St. James Park. Its ideal for runners, walkers, or cyclists looking for an easy-to-moderate route close to town, with options to extend via riverside or ridge-side detours for extra distance and scenery.

    - Access / Trailhead: Start from Confluence Park (free parking, restrooms, picnic areas) or from St.James Park; both make good entry points.
    - Distance: ~5 miles for the full loop.
    - Elevation / Grade: Pretty gentle overall mild rolling terrain, with a slight uphill & downhill on the south side if you go clockwise (some sections reach an 812% grade), but overall flat.
    - Terrain / Surface: Paved and smooth a multiuse path used by walkers, runners, cyclists.
    - Exposure & Scenery: Mostly open, with stretches near the river and a section along the ridge offering views of the river, desert, and city. Some parts shaded, others open so sun protection helps.
